thank you from sania pell

Wow, what an amazing start to my new blog!  I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone for joining me from the very beginning here, as well as those on Facebook and Twitter, and for all your wonderful messages of support and for making me feel so welcome.

It’s funny, as I was reading Holly’s posts last night she had described all the Liberty projects as perfect ideas to make when you throw a party. Well, starting this blog felt a bit like throwing a party. I put lots of effort in, styled it all up and wrote and photographed some posts ready for my guests. I then invited a few friends over and hoped they’d turn up. I was nervous, do you ever feel like that? What if no one comes?!

And, of course, then the doorbell rings and everyone starts arriving and you have a wonderful time!  This morning it feels as if I have just had that party, danced all night, had a wonderful time and made lots of new friends. Thank you all so much.

An especially big thank you goes to my lovely friend Holly Becker. I had no idea she was going to post so much of our Liberty makes yesterday and it was such a lovely surprise. I woke up with a big smile on my face this morning. It is all SO exciting. Thank you Holly xo

I’m going to do my best to post a few times each week, as I juggle being a mum of two little ones and working too. I’m sure a lot of you know what that is like and how busy life can be.

Thank you all again and do pop by tomorrow for a couple of new posts!

Sania x

PS I took this photo for you this morning in the kitchen, while my children were having breakfast. Flea market playing cards, a flower from the garden and my holy grail of beach combing – a heart shaped pebble. As I write in my book “become a magpie” and you will always have lots of  lovely things to be creative with.  See you soon for more creativity.

Thank you for your connections to all of us … creative, kindred, wee spirits…!
Life is busy, and raising little one’s takes such time, but to show them what can be done with their creative minds…it’s all soo goood.
have a great week ~ Suzanne from Wisconsin….

  4. Congrats on your new blog! I am loving it so far =) I am new to blogging myself (started mine in March – http://ow.ly/4WnRR) and feel the EXACT same way you do – As though I’m an anxious party host. But I think the payoff will come soon and all the new people and fellow-bloggers we meet will be well worth the wait…Best of luck to you! I know you’ll be a hit =)

    Dear Sania,

I so enjoyed talking to you today, hearing the excitement in your voice made my day. And well, here I am now visiting your blog, excited that we can now keep in touch this new way as well.

It’s funny, when we met for the first time in person last summer I recall how much about my life that you knew as we ate dinner together. You could recite so many of my stories and you knew things that I didn’t even remember writing on my blog! I sat there and thought, “I wish I could know her just as well!”. But of course, that meant asking you many, many questions over dinner and I didn’t want to “interview” you so I just allowed our friendship to progress naturally.

Yet still, I’ve been wanting all of this time to know you in the way that you know me (through my blog) and now that you have a blog well I’m thinking we’re on level playing grounds now and that I can follow you and what you are up to and listen to how you discuss things and learn how you see things in an exciting, new way just as you have been able to do with me.

If you’ve not thought of this before, I think that this blog could really deepen your fans love of you but also those of us who are your real life friends — it really makes a difference to me at least to have you blogging now. I actually cannot WAIT for when Leslie posts something new. I get all goofy like a teenager and read her post word for word. Same with Shannon Fricke and a few of the other blogs I follow.

Well lonnngggg story short, I’m glad you are blogging — for completely selfish reasons — I love having your beautiful, inspiring world to tap into whenever I want, day or night, even when I cannot call or email you for it. Congratulations Sania!

    xo
